THIEVES HOUSEHOLD CLEANER RECIPE
01/20/2023
I’m really into smells throughout the house this winter. I’ll be honest, winter makes me crabby-er. To me yummy scents add to the coziness of my home and improve my winter mood. I’ll be the first to admit, I’ve always used regular store-bought cleaners. That is until I tried this thieves household cleaner recipe. Use this and your house will smell of cloves, spices and lemon. It’s amazing! And to top it off, the thieves concentrate is made with plant-based, all natural ingredients. You can literally use it on almost any surface – counters, walls, floors, to clean carpets, mirrors, appliances, highchairs – the list goes on and on. Look at me being healthy and in a better mood!! The recipe to make the Thieves cleaner is very easy to mix up. You’ll just need a spray bottle, 1 capful of thieves concentrate, and 16 ounces distilled water. I...

VALENTINE’S AROUND THE HOUSE | 2023
01/16/2023
Welcome Valentine’s 2023 around my house. I don’t have a ton of Valentine’s decor. It’s nothing like Christmas that throws up in my house each year. This is where I cozy up to read my favorite magazines and write blog posts. The LOVE pillow is an old pillow cover from Pottery Barn. Pillow covers are easier to store and clean than actual pillows. Then I just need one pillow insert that I can use year round with different covers. I styled my photo ledge two different ways this year. This is how it started. This is what it turned into when...

WOODSY CITRUS POTPOURRI SIMMER POT
01/10/2023
I am big on smells in my house. Whether it be candles, essential oils or simmer pots, to me a good smelling house is cozy. This potpourri recipe is a scent even guys will most likely enjoy. It’s a touch of citrus with a nice woodsy scent that is very pleasant. The ingredients include oranges, bay leaves, rosemary and mesquite wood chips (the kind used when smoking meat). Simply place all ingredients into a pot of simmering water and wait for the scent to fill the room. I originally used three good sized wood chips. Then decided I wanted a stronger scent so I added a couple more. You can determine the amount of scent by how many of each ingredient you add. Set the burner on low and enjoy. Be sure to keep an eye on the water level. If it gets too low, just add more water.
It’s no secret. I am not the biggest fan of winter. As someone who is always cold, the winter...
