PILEA | HOUSEPLANTS YOU CAN GROW
04/25/2023
Next in the series houseplants you can grow is the pilea peperomioides, more commonly named Chinese Money Plant. All the plants pictured below are from one small plant I purchased several years ago. Pilea propagate themselves giving off tiny baby plants that can be separated into new plants. Pilea Peperomioides are fast-growing and disease-resistant. They are simple to care for requiring only medium to bright indirect light and well-drained soil. They don’t like wet roots so it’s best to let them dry out slightly between watering. They are a bit like rabbits in that they multiple quite rapidly. Baby pilea means plenty of new house plants to add to my collection and to give away. The pilea is also sometimes referred to as the coin plant because of the shape of the leaves. They are said to bring good luck to those who care for them making them a...

I used the masking tape to help keep the letters as straight as possible. Using metal letter stamps and a hammer, punch out...

SPRING POTTING BENCH
04/08/2023
I have already been putting my potting bench to good use this spring repotting house plants and getting an early start with a few pansies outside. It feels good to be back outdoors with my hands in the dirt. And it feels good to have my potting bench looking cute for spring. My terra cotta pots are all out where I can see what I have as I slowly plant the summer flowers. Only a few more weeks until it’s officially safe to start planting more flowers. Happy spring!
This year I’ve decided to start Easter morning off right with a cheerful juice cart. There will be a...
