FALL FOLIAGE HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN ARCH
10/05/2025I like to change up the front porch each year for Halloween. Last year was the witch house. This year I wanted to attempt a Halloween arch. I don’t have the right space to put one around the front door so my vision was to put it in the middle of the porch using the cedar posts to nail into.

My plan was to use pampas grass and brush foraged from my parent’s house to create the base of the arch.

Using only four nails, I tacked the main branches into place. I then added more branches for fullness using jute twine to secure to the nailed branches.

Then came the fun part. I stuffed in bundles of the foraged pampas grass. Then I zip tied old foam pumpkins to the secured branches. (See how I used the pumpkins in past years HERE and HERE) I tucked in a few faux stems for color and added broom corn plumes freshly cut from the garden.

The finished product turned out better than the original vision in my head.

It looks cute with my vintage pumpkin blow mold.

I think it turned out great and it cost me nothing using foraged foliage and old items I already owned. I may have to keep with the arch idea for Christmas this year. I have ideas!
