Another week of 2023 down in a blink of the eye. One week closer to no more freezing weather and cooking in the evenings. This week is going to be extra busy so the meals are extra simple to prepare. Most of the recipes are from the Beyond Simply Keto cookbook but I tried to find links to similar recipes online for you. UNIQUE VASES AROUND MY HOME

Studies have shown that flowers can aide in one’s higher sense of enjoyment and life satisfaction. So why not keep them around the house as much as possible? We’re coming into summer where we can easily grow our own. If growing your own isn’t for you, try Target, Trader Joe’s or the grocery store for inexpensive options. Lately, I’ve been buying a bouquet and then splitting it up into smaller bouquets which I place around the house. It’s like a happy little surprise in each room. I thought I would share a round-up of my favorite vases I’ve been using lately. Of course I had to have this mushroom vase when I saw it. I got mine from Home Goods. Amazon has the same one in different colors for the same price. Wal-Mart has all different varieties of mushroom vases. Seeing it with the daisies just makes me happy...

LEPRECHAUN HABITAT

Welcome to my front porch leprechaun habitat waiting for the little guy to come home after his day of St. Pat’s partying. On this week’s “things I didn’t really need but bought anyway” we have a cute little moss covered house. In my defense, it was on clearance and was perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. It will look cute on my potting bench, too, which completely justifies my purchase. What is a leprechaun habitat without shamrock clover plants? Another must-have are gold coin stepping stones. And mushrooms, of course. Am I taking my love for decorating too far with a leprechaun house on my front porch? Potentially. But I think it’s cute even if I had to take the plants in right after I set it up because it’s still freaking freezing here in MO. Happy St. Patrick’s day.
